Finding out someone you went to an evangelical christian private school with in the early 2010s is pregnant

The thing about this recommendation is that it will be out of reach for a lot of you, at least in its fullest capacity.

But I think a lot of us can relate to some facets of this recommendation (“high school”, “pregnant”) which is why I feel comfortable recommending it. It’s also completely free, which is always nice.

What I savour about this experience is the dredge of feelings it unearths…a sense of another reality that could’ve very well been mine had a few key things gone differently, the presence of my own sexual energy which is currently not being harnessed in the service of reproduction, the thought that perhaps it’s actually kind of nice to be married and be pregnant while still in the evangelical Christian church at the tender age of 26, followed rapidly but the thought that actually, no, I’d very much not like to be doing that right now.

The fact that you can feel so many things so quickly while looking at an Instagram photo of a pregnant woman is honestly just a nice way of feeling alive and rooted in your own life path, however messy.
